Back in 1995 in Charlottetown, PEI, a group of forward-thinking health and community professionals gathered with a shared vision: to create a framework that would integrate and unify health promotion efforts across sectors.
Patsy Beattie-Huggan of The Quaich Inc.., who was then working with the Nelson Health Agency, was one of the driving forces behind this initiative. She wanted to bring a new approach to health promotion—one that encouraged community partnerships and collaboration to address the broader factors influencing health.
The outcome of that meeting was the Circle of Health©, a framework that would go on to impact health strategies globally. Today, Patsy leads the Circle of Health© workshops, bringing her wealth of experience and passion for community-driven health promotion to professionals around the world.
