Project Planning for Holistic Health - Special Olympics
CHALLENGE
In 2017, Special Olympics PEI was approaching a major project for better health conditions and service for people with intellectual disabilities across Prince Edward Island. Their planning and implementation needed to include a vision for holistic health.
SOLUTION
Using the Circle of Health© during the foundational stage of project planning helped Special Olympics to strengthen their proposal and identify stakeholders and partners, resulting in successful grant applications. They used the Circle of Health© to identify gaps, and support and strengthen their activities to better support the project. Using the Circle of Health© taught them about diversity in the thought process, to have the greatest impact in providing a holistic approach to decision making.
